Add the quiet valley of Khaplu to a Skardu holiday. Stay a night beside the Shyok River, visit the restored Khaplu Fort and the 14th-century Chaqchan Mosque, then return to Skardu for Shigar, the deserts and a day in Basho valley or on the Deosai Plains.

Day by day
- Day 1
Fly to Skardu: Shangrila and Upper Kachura Lake
The flight only runs on clear days; watch for Nanga Parbat and K2 on the way. We meet you at Skardu airport and drive to Shangrila Resort and Upper Kachura Lake. Night in Skardu.
- Day 2
Kharmang valley to Khaplu
Chocolate rocks, Manthoka waterfall and Khamosh waterfall in Kharmang valley, then on to Khaplu. Night in Khaplu.
- Day 3
Khaplu and back to Skardu
Khaplu village, the fish farm, Chaqchan Mosque, Khaplu Fort and the Saling bridge, then back to Skardu for the night.
- Day 4
Katpana, Shigar and Sarfaranga
Katpana lake and desert, Sadpara Lake, Blind Lake, Shigar valley and fort, and the Sarfaranga cold desert. Night in Skardu.
- Day 5
Basho valley or Deosai Plains
A day in a shared 4×4: Basho valley, its bridge, river and meadows, or the Deosai Plains when open. Night in Skardu.

Fly home
Visit any place you missed as time allows, then drop-off at Skardu airport for your flight.

Good to know
- Direct flights (PIA or Airblue): daily from Islamabad, four a week from Lahore, and from Karachi. Tell us your preferred dates and we will check seats.
- The Skardu flight only flies in clear weather. On the way you may see Nanga Parbat and K2.
- This is a private tour: we can change the plan around the places you most want to see.
- Children under 10: PKR 24,000 each.
- The Deosai and Basho day uses a shared 4×4 jeep.
